"Another week, another step closer!"
Saturday 30th March 2019 and a lovely sunny day here at Ruddington. Just the day for the first loaded test run on our brand new Ground Level 7¼" Extension hauled by Roy Hollingsworth and his fantastic Class 40.

Whilst there is still lots to do, today's first run is testament to all the hard work put in by our members to reach this point and is another step towards completion.

Childrens Parties:

Unfortunately, our popular Childrens Parties are not available at the moment. We hope to be able to introduce them again really soon.....

The Nottingham Society of Model and Experimental Engineers Ltd was founded in 1929 and is one of the longest established societies in the UK. Monthly members meetings provide varied programme of interesting talks. Alongside a full diary of public running days

With a membership now in excess of 280, whose interests span the many branches of model engineering. The society now has its permanent home within the GCR(N) Ruddington Fields Site and actively participates in the work of the centre alongside our full size GCR(N) colleagues.

Our miniature railway track caters for all popular gauges, including Gauge 1, 3½ inch, 5 inch gauge raised tracks and 7¼ inch gauge ground level track each complete with tunnels, extensive landscaping, full signalling and easy unloading and loading of engines.
